This is a nice looking clock, but I tried the alarm and it is simply not loud enough. I can barely hear it from only 4 feet away. I think the alarm on my wristwatch is louder. Awsome sound, but not made for the rain!
If you use a portable music player, and you don't own a set of these headphones, it's time to do some shopping. These are, hands-down, the best sounding lightweight headphones to sit over my ears.

The sound is crisp and clean, and the bass response is very good. These headphones, for pure listening enjoyment, far outperform my $120 dj headphones.

If you plan to abuse the Portapro, be forewarned: they do not take well to being rained on, stored in a backpack with other objects, or dragged through the room by a dog. Koss could use a heavier-duty wire, as the wire tends to break at the jack. In addition, I've blown two of the speakers.

However, Koss has a fantastic lifetime warranty policy. For $6 US, they will send you a replacement pair of Portapro's. The turnaround time is rapid, under two weeks for both times I've taken advantage of the policy.
