When function is the highest factor
I'm a fairly simple shopper when it comes to clothes.I buy most of my pants from Sears, and those are always Levi 550s. They are, quite simply, the most appealing jeans I've worn, and I've been wearing them exclusively for about 5 years now.They don't tear that easily and they hold up for a long time if you take care of them and wash them on a regular basis.While it is true that some other brands, such as Lee, have somewhat softer material, I've always returned to these workhorses.I prefer black usually, which has the normal problem of fading to gray after a time, but they stay black for a respectably long time.Perfect for everyday situations. The Classic And Still The Best!
Levi's 501 jeans are still the best in the world after all these years. The button fly is at times a bit inconvenient, but the fit of these jeans is worth it - there has never been a pair of jeans that fit a guy better than these. They are comfortable, yet not baggy, and are decidedly classic, without being stodgy.

In short, Levi's 501 jeans still set the bar for blue jeans, and to date nothing else comes close.

Best value for your money
Are there any other jeans than these traditional Levi's 501? If you really want quality your choice would most certainly be a pair of 501 button flies. Don't waste your money on any other brand only for just checking out'em. You'll soon learn that nothing can beat the comfort and enjoyment of 501.

Nothing says "I'm not a nerd" more than a pair of these
Levi button-downs are the most comfortable, COOL jeans in the known universe; James Dean wore 'em for cryin' out loud!Just don't blame the jeans for his poor driving record; no doubt he was wearing a pair of baggy khakis on his day of destiny, BUT I DIGRESS.

I've worn Levi's for all of my adult life and I've been pretty darn cool for a good percentage of said adult life.

"So Low" not as low as my Bugle Boy Jeans...
I ordered (2) of the 36x34 "Breakers" knowing I would need to make the inseam a 32. Well I've done that, washed them in hot water, and tried them on. The flare does seem excessive but I wear boots on my V-Max and Gold Wing anyway. The waist size could have been a 34 but it wasn't available. I just ordered another (2) pairs of the 34x34 "Reef". Sure I'll need to set the inseam to 32 on these too, but for $20 a pair, what's so difficult about sewing them. Plus Amazon is offering $30 off if you apply for their Visa card. Now the $40 total is only $10. $10 for (2) pairs of jeans at $128 each. Jeeeeez, now I own (4) new pairs of 2(x)ist jeans for under $50. The material is softer than most broken-in jeans, but I can't see paying $128 for these, can you? One could have paid $512 for these jeans. Anyhow, they are in style, fit ok, and are cheap. I gave four stars for the 12" flares being too wide. Oh, and one more thing, these are Made in Canada so the waist sizes are on the high side. I wear a 34/36 waist and try to buy 35's. I ordered the 36's but could have used 34's. They are kind of stretchy ( a word?) I didn't buy 34's in the first place because Levi and Wrangler usually are tighter hence the 35 fit. Levis arent what they used too be.
I am tall, and sad too report that Levi no longer makes a 40 inch inseam. I have worn them for years, but no more. The wife's last pair made in Mexico are lighter material than the old U.S.A. jeans and not stiched as well. So unfortunatelly there are two customers lost.

The prototypical denim trouser
This is the jean that made Levi-Strauss famous. Arriving stiff and a deep indigo color when new, these will take months or years to get broken in, at which point they will fit like a second skin and be faded to a mellow lighter blue. These are shrink-to-fit pants, which means you will buy a size larger than your actual measurements. If you want to accelerate the breaking-in process, you should wash them in hot water, cold rinse, and then put them in a hot dryer for a while. The cut of these pants is pretty tight, not at all baggy like some people find fashionable today. They are cut to be worn at (or quite close to) your waist, not down on your hips like lots of newer styles. So measure your actual waist when calculating the size to order, unless you want them to fall off (in which case you probably shouldn't be buying 501 shrink-to-fit anyway). I own a couple of pairs, both well broken-in, and they're just about my favorite pants. There's just nothing like a nicely broken in pair of 501s to fit like no other jeans can. ... Read more

Aight...
They're nice I suppose, but this X-factor model is a button fly which I didn't realize until I got them.The fabric is nice, but does feel thin.Tight in the crotch area but I can still chase down things without breaking 'em open.

Great price but NOT what i expected
This review applies to all 2(x)ist Men's Jeans. While the color is great, the fabric is cheap and VERY thin. I bought 4 of these jeans and dont even wear them b/c the material is very thin. Im afraid if i move to fast i might rip the jeans right at the seams. I dont recommend these jeans.

Eh, not the best jeans for the money
I understand that Levis aren't supposed to be cheap, but I didn't expect the cut to be so different.I usually have no trouble fitting into a 33W, but with these Levis, it was nigh impossible.Well, they would look good if they fit better.

Incredible jeans.
I had to respond to most of the other reviewers of 2(x)ist jeans, because I love them and think the sale price is the steal of the century.

These are LINEN JEANS.They are thinner than Levi 501's or regular thick jeans.They're meant to be, and are great for warm weather or any time you're not mining gold.These also have a low rise, like the name "So Low Jeans" would suggest, even though the rise isn't as low as some other jeans.

The waist size seems fine to me.Based on previous reviews, I bought a size up but that was bad advice.If anything, I'd recommend rounding down if you're borderline between sizes.I normally wear between 29 and 30 waist and I bought 31 based on the recommendations; the 29 fits me perfectly.I know stores like Wal-Mart or Target often cut their clothes VERY large, so if you're used to those sizes then adjust accordingly.

I think these jeans are great and have no major complaints.The wash is inconsistent though; I bought two pairs of "Banger" jeans to make up for the waist sizing error and the washes looked almost completely different.They both look good, though.I'm guessing they are test marketing these jeans on Amazon (because I can't find any info on them anywhere else, including 2xist's own web site) so they might be tinkering with the formula a little bit.

Highly recommended to the slim and hip (or wannabe hip like me)

Not recommended -- low durability
I normally wear 32x32 jeans, so I was pleased when my 32x32 Dubliners fit perfectly. The styling was not as dramatic as in the pictures, and this also pleased me. My only complaint regarding the fit or looks is that the flare is a bit large. It's not too bad, though.

However, I have a major complaint with the durability of these jeans. The fabric is exceptionally thin; any time there is any stress on the seams, the stitches look like they're going to pop out. Plus, I wore them only once and there's already a hole in the fabric. Needless to say, I am not pleased.

Pros: Fit as expected, look cool, low price.
Cons: Exceptionally thin fabric, low durability.
Conclusion: These jeans aren't worth it, even for $20.

I'd like make one point before reviewing these "jeans". They are LOW RISE jeans, meant to be worn on the HIPS. When you order, order your HIP SIZE, not your waist, otherwise you may be dissapointed to find that they do not fit you, or are one size too tight.

Okay, I ordered this with high expectations, considering it's from one of the leading designers for male underwear, but these jeans are a letdown compared to other products manufactured my 2(x)ist. Just as a poin of reference, I purchased this pair and the Banger style, from the same brand, same size. That last point is very important as the Dubliner seems to be an inch more loose and with an extra inch on the inseam, which is quite annoying. The Banger pair fits like a charm. There are quite a few cons I'd like to point out though.

One, the fabric is rather thin, and I was surprised to find the tag noting that it is 100% cotton. They feel (and smell, even) more like polyester, as hard as that is to believe. Two... They are rather soft for jeans, but they just don't have the feel or texture you would expect from denim. I'm not exactly satisfied with these jeans, not considering the difference in fit compared to the Banger pair. The wash itself looks alright, but the front has very many light specks which LOOK like pulled threads, which is a bad thing, although they just seem to be part of the style. As I wrote in my other review, I would call these faux jeans as opposed to authentic denim. The actual stitch seems rahter cheap as well. Aside from that, I would say 19.99 is a just price for the product, but it is definitely not worth the 128 retail. Why they even put that on the tag to begin with is beyond me. Concerning the durability... they DO seem built to last, though I have to admit, they can't possibly be as durable as higher grade denims.

Good jeans for the price
I was a little skeptical of ordering jeans online, and them fitting correctly, but was pleasantly surprised with these (and also purchased the Hero design).

First off, the jeans are not very heavy.There were 2 pairs of jeans in the box and it really felt like there was only one pair.

Normally I wear a waist in the 32-34 range, and the 33's fit like I had expected.I would say to perhaps order one size up if possible.

I really like the design of the Dubliner's with a lighter blue at the top, going to a dark blue at the bottom.

The reason I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 is that I wish they would have had a 34 waist at the time I ordered, because I think it would have been a bit more comfortable, but I am still very pleased with the 33 waist. ... Read more
