When function is the highest factor
I'm a fairly simple shopper when it comes to clothes.I buy most of my pants from Sears, and those are always Levi 550s. They are, quite simply, the most appealing jeans I've worn, and I've been wearing them exclusively for about 5 years now.They don't tear that easily and they hold up for a long time if you take care of them and wash them on a regular basis.While it is true that some other brands, such as Lee, have somewhat softer material, I've always returned to these workhorses.I prefer black usually, which has the normal problem of fading to gray after a time, but they stay black for a respectably long time.Perfect for everyday situations. The Classic And Still The Best!
Levi's 501 jeans are still the best in the world after all these years. The button fly is at times a bit inconvenient, but the fit of these jeans is worth it - there has never been a pair of jeans that fit a guy better than these. They are comfortable, yet not baggy, and are decidedly classic, without being stodgy.

In short, Levi's 501 jeans still set the bar for blue jeans, and to date nothing else comes close.

Best value for your money
Are there any other jeans than these traditional Levi's 501? If you really want quality your choice would most certainly be a pair of 501 button flies. Don't waste your money on any other brand only for just checking out'em. You'll soon learn that nothing can beat the comfort and enjoyment of 501.

Nothing says "I'm not a nerd" more than a pair of these
Levi button-downs are the most comfortable, COOL jeans in the known universe; James Dean wore 'em for cryin' out loud!Just don't blame the jeans for his poor driving record; no doubt he was wearing a pair of baggy khakis on his day of destiny, BUT I DIGRESS.

I've worn Levi's for all of my adult life and I've been pretty darn cool for a good percentage of said adult life.

Eh, not the best jeans for the money
I understand that Levis aren't supposed to be cheap, but I didn't expect the cut to be so different.I usually have no trouble fitting into a 33W, but with these Levis, it was nigh impossible.Well, they would look good if they fit better.

Great for Martial Arts/ Yoga/ Sport Training
This is a great item, it is light weight and has an open leg. For Yoga, Martial Arts (kicking) rolling throwing etc. and streching it is a great item. I have two and will buy more.
In yoga, especially in the summer, you need a light weight item, this works will. In Martial Arts, or self defence systems, this item makes for good work out clothes alternative to the classic karate gi. Especially on light training days.
The material is well woven, comfortable. Has a nice smooth texture, it seems to avoid snagging. Proved by a cat that jumps on my lap during yoga practise. This is a good textile product.
My pairs, were made in Mexico, which is a US/Canada NAFTA partner. Hey at least the money stays in this hemisphere! And I like Mexico. It is important that people be paid properly for the work the do. Thanks to the people at this Mexican plant who made these for me!
I wash them in cold water, hand dry, till they are just about dry. Crusty dry I call it. Then I put them in the dryer, warm not hot for a max of 2-4 minutes, this smooths out the water wrinkles.
This protects the cotton from being "scorched" by the dryer heat.

Real comfortable
These pants are really comfortable, perfect for warm weather, or just lounging around the house. The fact that the pockets have zippers is a big plus for me, as I've lost items (such as keys!!) while wearing these kinds of pants before. The one thing that disappoints me is that there's a goofy-looking seam running down the front of each leg. Also, I clipped a loose strand at some point, and part of the seam disappeared, which makes it look more goofy.
