These are very sturdy quality shorts.
I have done just about everything in these things. Swimming, boating, hiking, yard work, bicycling, and much more. I even thought a few times that I had torn them, but they were fine. They take major punishment. I see that one other person complained about them being made of non-breathing material. From his message, I could see that he was wearing underwear under the shorts. These are "commando" shorts! The mesh lining is all you need. If you wear anything under it, of course you'll get hot. I live in New Mexico with 100+ heat for months at a time, and assure you that these shorts are very comfortable and cool when worn properly (alone). The ONLY thing I don't like about these shorts are the "swish swish" sounds of the nylon rubbing against itself while walking. Gee - that's not much. Not enough to keep me from buying more! Not enough to even downgrade my rating. Buy these shorts - and wear them commando!

NOT A HIKING SHORT....NYLON DOES NOT BREATH..
I bought two pair of these short's and one was ok the other had a bent zipper pull and a hole in front pocket for me these short's would be fine for doubling as a swimsuit or for white water rafting but for hiking they just do not breathe well enough they trapp all your body heat and you end up with damp under wear.They would be fine for around the house but to me they just wrong for walking in maybe it is just me and nylon prefer cotton short much more comfortable.

Definitely decent shorts, and you won't look like a dork
If you're like me, you probably want some decent shorts to run/ball it up/do whatever in, but you don't really want to go around looking like Daisy Duke.So here you go.I bought the XXL size, although XL is probably my actual size.I'd say that they definitely aren't overly baggy for me.

For some reason, I've also become kind of sick of school logos on the shorts.These plain ones show off a little more of your post-modern sensibilities.

Two small nits:1) They are maybe a very slight bit too long- even a little bit off the length would probably help with the air circulation down in the important areas (but like I said, I ain't no Catherine Bach).2) I used to like the older mesh with the slightly larger holes in it.I feel (and my feelings may not at all comport with reality) that the new finer mesh doesn't seem to breathe quite as well. ... Poorly organized customer service
I received an email from txshirts stated that I should direct all inquiries to csr@txshirts.com. I did this on two occasions and received no reply. Customer service finally contacted me only to ask why I had left negative feedback on Amazon. They stated they never received any email from me.

Their gym shorts were not as described. The description said "covered elastic waistband". Instead, I received an "uncovered" elastic waistband that digs into my skin and leaves indentations on my skin.

Their response? I should pay for return shipping in order to get my money back.
