Not good socks
I wore Gold toes years ago and remember them as very high quality durable socks.I discontinued using them because i started wearingdifferent styles than the crew/white/standard. Now after trying these fluffies i think i remember why i stopped liking the gold toes. perhaps they sold the co. or came under new management. in anyt case these socks have no stretch in the elastic, making them basically worthless. yippee.

Finally, I can buy my Gold Toe Cotton Fluffies On-Line!
I am absolutely thrilled to realize that I can buy Gold Toe Cotton Fluffies from Amazon.I now have no reason to go to a department store in a mall ever again.

I ordered 3 each of the new Denim Heather and 3 of the Olive.I also ordered two of the less-expensive three-packs in Navy and Black.

These are great socks, enough said!
I cannot buy these socks in my own country. I bought my first pair on a trip in the USA, I had an important business meeting to go to and snagged the pair I was wearing, ripping a hug hole across them. Now let's face it guys, socks are the item of clothing you have to buy most right? I am always loosing them, holing them or wearing them out (I kick off my shoes as much as I can so it may be may own fault!). Since finding these I don't buy them nearly so often. They look good, they are strong, they dont loose colour, the gold toe makes laundry matching easy, they launder well, they dry quickly and they go on and on!
Here's a true story, my dog was accidentally let out the front of the house recently (a busy road is out front), I heard my wife sounding distressed about it, I was in the kitchen at the back of the house with no shoes but gold toe metro's on, I ran out of the house, into the road and after the dog (who buy now was so scarred she just ran off) I ran after her for 4 streets, ok I stood a few stones and it hurt but not one pull, snag or tear in the socks. Navy is a very very dark blue
I would never give Gold Toe Cotton Fluffies anything less than 5 stars; they are one of my favorite things, but I want to caution people that the color "Navy" is, to my human eyes at least, virtually identical to "Black."

I love my socks, but I have a real problem matching them up when I sort my laundry, and it's not as though I am color-blind.I fear that it will be a challenge to distinguish these from true black socks when they come out of the dryer.

About 25-years-ago, Gold Toe manufactured Cotton Fluffies in a much wider variety of colors.I would pay a lot of money for a new pair of Kelly Green Cotton Fluffies, should they ever be re-issued.I think Gold Toe may be missing out on a real opportunity to market their socks in limited edition colors, like VW Beetles or Beanie Babies. ... I can't buy these socks in my own country, thank the lord for Amazon! I came across them for the first time in the USA when I bought them as an "emergency" pair. I had an important meeting and had a visible hole in the ones I was wearing!
