A woman's Opinion
This thong is sexy!

Contrary to what many men think, we women love to se men in thongs. Boxers are obsolete and look dorky.

When it comes to underwear for men, we think less is more and this thong looks incredibly sexy.Also thongs are the most confortable form of underwear ever created.

My review
I always thought I was current with the best in men's underwear, and have been wearing bikini briefs for years -- even before they became popular. However, for some reason I let the thong revolution happen before I had a chance to be a part of it. When I fully realized how surpassed and old-fashioned my current undie collection had become, I quickly resolved to do something about it.

The wonderful String Thong was one of a bunch I got at the same time. I'm not going to compare it with the others because it wouldn't be like-with-like. I bought a good range of thongs/g-strings (thought I'd upgrade properly) and they varied significantly in terms of appearance and feel. The backs varied in thickness and style (string/thong), material and cut varied, as did 'integratedness' (whether or not there was a distinct, jock-like waistband). This was back a few months ago and I've now tried them all. Let me just say that I'm very happy I did. The switch to thongs has afforded me with 1) greater comfort, 2) more effective support, 3) a better fit, 4) increased freedom of movement, and 5) a better opinion of my body. No wonder thongs are fast becoming the third main underwear style. If they ever beat boxers or briefs, it will be a true victory of comfort and appearance over prudishness and tradition.

The first thing you notice about the String Thong is how minimal it is. It just covers/supports your modesty and is keep in place by thin elastic. The result is a garment that does its job effectively but very discreetly. Unlike boxer or briefs with their excessive use of material, the String Thong doesn't continually make its presence known. It is sleek, streamlined and minimal. Instead of bunching, bagging, twisting, 'wedgying', and needing adjustments all the time, the String Thong simply stays in its place. It's almost fair to say you put them on and they disappear.

A major advantage of the design is that it's inherently cool, light and non-restrictive. I much prefer wearing these for physical activity, even more than jockstraps. Just compare the jock's thick waistband with the String's cool thin elastic: no contest. Those waistbands are over the top; you don't need them that thick to be durable. The String's also unbeatable under jeans. I remember from when I used to wear boxers and grandpa briefs how uncomfortable those styles were with jeans. This, however, is perfect with them. They even help give your butt a nice outline.

The material is great too. In men's underwear there seems to be three main fabric options widely available: pure cotton, blended (eg. cotton/lycra), and silk. Pure cotton is popular for the same reason as boxers/briefs: it's the traditional choice. The String Thong is made of nylon/spandex, which feels somewhat like cotton/lycra. My piece of advice for all men is to buy blended underwear whenever you have the choice. This applies for all undie styles, expect maybe boxers. It's a superior option because it combines one material's texture (eg. cotton) with another's ability to stretch (eg. lycra). This is the only one of the three that can stretch. What this means is if you buy cotton or silk underwear, you'll have to hope the generic, off-the-rack fit is okay, otherwise the fixed shape will resist you, ie. your body has to conform to the underwear. Nylon/spandex and other blends will stretch around your contours and (to an extent) custom-accommodate the unique shape of your body, ie. the underwear conforms to you. Cotton/lycra, for example, makes pure cotton redundant. In this case nylon provides the feel and spandex the stretch.

Excellent!
Although I am absurdly fat, I decided it was high time to purchase and wear thong underwear.After receiving the French Thong Brief in the mail and test-driving it, so to speak, for three days, I am so glad I finally caved in and got some floss for my rear!I find that my pants do not have tell-tale lines anymore where my briefs cut the circulation off in my thighs.Also, since I began to weat the French Thong Brief around the house, my cocker spaniel Mr. Chuckles has seemed more energetic and eager to play fetch.I have no idea why, but I credit the thong!

what g-string?
I didn't know what to think when my husband ordered these along with some other items from Undergear.It takes a brave guy to pull this one off, and I wasn't sure he would look very good in these.Was I ever wrong!He looks F.I.N.E. and I get a kick out of knowing he is wearing these when we go out.It just seems to spice things up a little.I wearExtreme T-Strings from Victorias Secret and these are very similar.The T-String is my favorite style so I can understand why he finds these to be so comfortable.It's as though you're not wearing anything at all.Anyway, from my point of view, these are well made.His only complaint (and I agree, hence the 4 stars) is that the "butt string" is not attached to the waist string.In other words, it slides so you have to adjust it when you put them on to make sure things are in line.The front pouch slides as well, but in a good way :)It's adjustable so you can go for more or less coverage in the front.
I agree with the other reviews I see telling guys to ditch the boxers for sexier underwear.He never found boxers to be particularly comfortable, especially in jeans.But, it's all about personal preference.Some women and men are fine with thongs and some are not.But, these have also definitely spiced things up in the bedroom.I'll leave that to your imagination, but trust me on this.I also have read about women who think men shouldn't wear a thong because hemight be hairy down there...you know, front and back.All I can say is...groom.Get out the clippers, razor and some good shaving gel.If you guys are too scared, let your wife or girlfriend do it.We're pros at this.You expect your woman to look like a landing strip down there, so do her a favor and mow your jungle too.Trim those hedges.Get rid of that butt hair.Yuck!You'll be cleaner, and it also makes you look bigger...how's that for an incentive.Do it every few days and it just becomes part of the regular routine.Sorry for the side bar...all in all these pass my test for quality undies.It would be nice if they became more mainstream and could be bought in a store.

Great comfort but the stiching is reason for concern
I have just started to wear thongs and string thongs as the review above says the fit and comfort are incredably wonderful and yes you put it on and they disappear much more comfortable than any other. But all of the stiches are loose and also where there should be at least 2 or more for sturdyness and high Quaulity there is only a single loose stich and some adhesive glue. As for me I like them but will wear this 1 to see how long it lasts thu washing and wearing before I would buy more

White, bright and nice & tight.
I bought this product to help me recover from cosmetic surgery and it certainly made my convalesence fly by.My girlfriend has since insisted I wear it at least once a week to help spice up our 'nights in'.She has even bought an extra set of the white which she has since decorated using some left overs from a 'Lion King' T-shirt transfer set she got a couple of years ago.Apparently this adds a whole new dimension to it!?

As for the garment itself, the cotton is extremely soft and chaffing is kept to minimum thank to the waxed string.The G-string is ideal for both lesiure and sports activities as the quality of the material is extremely durable.It provides a firm hold and visually in nothing less than impressive.Its actually suprisingly warm and I found myself spending all last weekend wearing nothing else around the house.This has led to a minor neighbourly dispute but this can be no fault of this excellent item of underwear.Highly recommended!

Second best
This is a really nice thong but it was made redundant a few years ago following the launch of Hom's now-legendary Plume String. The Plume String completely outclasses the Fredy in every way and therefore makes for a better buy.

Best Underwear I have ever used.
Since young I have always used Briefs from Haynes and Fruit of the Loom.Recently due to advice from my girlfriend I decided to start using thongs and Gstrings.At first I was hesitant of using thongs, I told my GF they would be unconfortable, but she insisted they felt great and she was right.

This is a g-string brief. It is very confortable, much more confortable than briefs and I recommend it specially for sports.Here is a tip: To size properly measure your waist size and add two inches.

My girfriend loves the look of this g-string and tell me all her female friends are urging their partners to start using thongs and ditch the briefs.

A classic thong
I have worn this thong for many years and I'm so pleased that more and more guys have discovered this and other thong styles - CKs thongs are some of the best, but this one is an all time classic. HOM Fredy String
This is my first HOM purchase and I couldn't be happier with my selection.I have looked everywhere for a thong (g-string would be a more appropriate description) to be worn under low rise jeans and this item is perfect.Although it isn't described as a "low-rise" thong it is perfect for wearing under low-rise jeans and pants.The minimal design with narrow sides and g-string style back is excellent.The stretchy fabric and front pouch center seam design make for a snug but very comfortable fit with no gaping.The sizing also appears to be right-on; I ordered a size 32 because I am a 31-32 waist.This is definitely a high-quality garment that will last a looong time so it is worth the extra $$$ for those of you that like to spend wisely.
