Received this in heritage blue for Christmas... It's been chilly here in north GA, so the jacket has gotten a bit of a test. Definately windproof... in a strong breeze at about 40F the inside of the sleeves didn't even feel cool against my bare arms. The hand warmer pockets are nylon as are the inside pockets -- yes a fleece with inside pockets ;). The fleece is soft and comfortable, and you'd never know that it is windproof just feeling it, in fact it seems to breathe nicely unlike some other windproof jackets. Stylish, feature-packed and wind resistant
I purchased two of these jackets (one for my wife) and have been very happy with them so far. NY winter has been relatively mild this year but in temperatures in the low 30s the jacket (with its inner lining) has performed well. We have a pending ski trip and I have a feeling we'll need 2-3 light layers beneath it for real warmth when out in 10-15 degrees. I've had people compliment me on how good the jacket looks and because the Lands End brand is not on the breast (ala North Face) some have asked me who makes it. The fir green and red colors are very richly colored and vibrant. The fit is comfortable, and despite the many pockets filled with my 2 sets of keys, cell, PDA etc there is none of the bulkiness you'd expect from a winter coat. The hood is warm and deep and, like the body, is very wind resistant. It hasn't been through the wash yet but after being splashed with muddy water I literally wiped the sleeve clean so I'm expecting easy care. Overall a very good value. ... Read more
