It is a beautiful skirt, but not the way I expected it!
It is a beautiful skirt, but not the way I expected it at all! First of all it is on the short end (not long as described in the first review). I am 5'6" & it is just below my knees.

I must say that I have never bought this kind of skirts for the hassle of storage. Now that I bought it, I do not think I will buy another skirt of this material. Too much work for a skirt.

Terrific fabric but a bit too billowy
This skirt is absolutely beautiful, and very difficult to wear. There's so much fabric and its very long - I found myself stepping on the hem constantly and I'm 5'7" with rather long legs. Its also very 'billowy' for lack of a better term - so that if you are at all concerned with minimizing the size of your hips - this is NOT the skirt for you.

There shipping is a disgrace
I ordered items from Newport News hmmmm........ 6wks ago.STILL haven't received NONE of my order.I will never ever order from this company again, I hope they go out of business!!! Buyers PLEASE beware, you really don't want to deal with this company, save your money and go elsewhere.

Do you like to wear rags?
Shirts were so ugly! Poorly sewn, ripped edges, uneven - complete scrap material. Customer service told me the 'raw edges' were fashion. They are the worst items I have ever purchased from this company. Do not waste your money - even on SALE they wouldnt be worth your time.

Not quite what the photo shows, but a decent casual T Shirt
The model photo is in black, which hides many of the (IMHO very important)"rough" construction details. This is not a slick, finished, sweater-y shirt. It's a pieced t-shirt with exposed externalseams and a very unfinished quality. BUT, I've seen equally unfinished things for sale for three times the price. I was a bit surprised because I was expecting something more substantial from the photo, but once I tried it on, I loved the lines of it anyway. I have since purchased it in another color. The bell sleeves and neckline are very flattering together. At any rate, yes, it is a very CASUAL shirt, and "third world sweatshop" quality is probably accurate. Then again, some people like that sort of thing. Anyway, it goes great with jeans and flip-flops.

Cheap as Cheap Quality Gets
Be warned that you get what you pay for with this item. I have never bought from NewPort before and sincerely regret doing so as the customer service was severly lacking in service, along with major delays in receiving any of the items I ordered. When I *did* get this shirt I was in shock at the "3rd world sweat shop" quality that showed by the tag halfway out the other side of the trim. The actual "trim" is just ripped up pieces of material shoddily sewn onto the neckline. Then, you have the ribbed part, which was fine till you get to the "raw edge voile" bell sleeves. Yeah, "raw edge" doesn't begin to describe how these are tacked on as an afterthought. The color does not match, they are thin cotton and oh, you got those "raw edges" (why not just say unfinished?). Am I impressed? You take a guess. I am curious to see what my other items will look like. Will let you know as soon as I get the ones I ordered back in early November (it almost Christmas now). ... Cool and Comfy!!
These are great capris! I wear them in the health club and also out to do errands around town. They fit closely, like leggings, which tend to make the legs look slim unlike the capris that appear to flare out a bit at the bottom. The price is fantastic!! Don't waste your money
My first and last time ordering from Newport News.The dress looks cute in the picture, but it's pretty low quality.Not only is the waist HUGE the rest doesn't really hit the right places either.It's worth it to spend more for better quality than this.

still havent received my dress
i have a big party to go to, thats why i ordered this dress 2-3 weeks ago. the calendar dates said it was suppose to come in on May 5th and amazon says that its suppose to come between may 3-7 and i jus called customer service asking them why hasnt my dress come in yet. they claim it was shipped on april 28 and said it might not get to me til may 19... 9 days AFTER my party. all i can say is that im very disappointed. then to make it worse, they then ask me if i want to speed up the shipping with additional fee. all i can say is... did they even MAIL my dress yet like they said they did? i'll never buy from this company again. next time im better off with macys or nordstrom.

Love the dress, but slightly dissapointed
It's a very lovely dress; very comfortable to wear and sexy. As previously mentioned in other reviews, it is a bit loose at the waist (unlike how the accompanying picture would seem to lead you to believe as it appears to cling elegantly to her shape). Purhaps a smaller size would have rectified this, and it fits loosely all over, though not as significantly so. I still enjoy wearing it however, and do not regret this purchase.

I wish I had read one of reviews for this item before purchasing. I am size 2 to 6 depending on the marchant sizing, and I order small. I was very disappointed when I put it on. Finally, a swimsuit made for real bodies
This suit is really unique--I love the color (bronze) and the cut.It's flattering and feminine without being like a grandma suit.It's so refreshing to see suits made for ordinary women who may not be ready for the cover of Sports Illustrated!:0)

Just a couple of things that might be helpful to know.It doesn't show in the picture, but there's a seam directly across the bust section of the suit.It would have been cuter without this seam, but it's still a cute suit.

Second, I'd recommend ordering this suit according to your bust size.I'm a pear shape and usually order slightly bigger clothes based on my lower half, but I needed to order a smaller size than what I orginally thought because I'm narrow through the shoulders and top.

Third, if you want the skirt to cover everything, I'd recommend getting the tall size if you're over 5'6.

All in all, a really good deal on a beautiful swimsuit!

Great suit!
I loved this suit, but I just wanted to say that normally I buy my suit a size larger - it isn't necessary with this suit.I'm sure a size smaller would have fit well too and hid my post-baby belly.

This suit is a 2 pc. (separate bottoms) which I didn't realize when buying this suit.It still covers everything well, but just thought I'd mention it.

Leggings
I got my Newport Leggings and I wear them all the time. I always wear leggings to my fitness club and these are a good replacement for my older pairs. I am goimg to buy more legging, I just wish there were more colors in my size but I do wear black most often.

Misleading
I tried to order 2 pairs in size L Misses.What I got was size L Petites.There was nothing in the ordering selection at the time telling me I would be ordering Petites if I got them.So I had to send them back.All customer service did was give me a return number and apologize.They did not direct me to any in my size for that price.I felt like they had used the old Bait and Switch tactics which are illegal.So I will not be ordering from them again.

poor quality
These legging were very poor quality and took over 2 1/2 weeks to receive.There is only 5% spandex in the fabric so it has very little stretch.
