Legendary brand, problematic design
Sorel boots are supposed to be legendary for cold conditions, a requirement in their original manufacturing home base of Canada.My husband and I bought two pairs of Sorel boots(his are the traditional lace-up, removeable liner, for temperatures to -40, made in Vietnam, mine for temps to -25, made in China) and I really liked the Crestwynd for its convenient zip-up design.When they arrived, they fit wonderfully, the fleece is cute, and the sole is durable.As we have wintry commutes and enjoy the outdoors, we thought these would be ideal.

Unfortunately, the zipper of the women's Crestwynd boot begins to slide down, very soon after putting them on.After just a few steps the zipper is halfway down and by the time I drove to the train station, they were completely unzipped. Then you are walking around with loose boots.I still think that Sorel makes great products, but this model definitely has a design flaw. I wouldn't recommend buying them in the near term. ...
