Curvy Chicks need not apply
I'm a very curvy size twenty, and found these jeans did not fit me well--they were MUCH too big in the waist although the hip and thigh fitted well enough.Holding them up, I saw that there was very little inward shaping from hip to waist.I think this will be a big problem for other women who have much smaller waists then hips.The fabric is VERY nice, though, soft but sturdy, and all the details are quality, so if you have a slightly "straighter" figure do give these a try.

Fit just right
If you're tired of all the jeans out there that seem to be designed for men, try these.They actually fit a woman's curves--big enough in the hips, small enough in the waist.I hate jeans with waistbands that gap, but these are just right.Also, the tall sizes are nice and long through the rise and the inseam!Very proportional for those of us with a figure.

The Most Comfortable Pair of Jeans I've Ever Owned!
I LOVE these jeans.I had to wait three months before I could afford to spend the money on them, but it was well worth it--the time and money.I've never owned a pair of jeans that have fits so well, and that I also feel that I look good in, a combination that I rarely find. Usually the jeans I end up buyingare comfortable in the legs, tight in the hips, and loose in the waist.These fit me comfortably in all areas. I love the color, too, and though I don't normally like button-fly jeans, these are cool.It doesn't look like I stuffed myself into them when I sit down or stand up.I would definitely recommend these jeans to anyone who has problems finding jeansto fit them correctly.

Wonderfully Soft and Comfortable Jeans
I have purchased several pairs of these loose-fit, buttonfly jeans.They are my absolute favorites.They fit just like the loose-fit, zip-front jeans, but are much softer and have richer color.These jeans are very roomy in the thighs and don't gape at the back of the waist.I'm 5'4" (size 10), and find that the regular length is just a little long - they drape nicely with ankle high boots, but tend to get under my heels with clogs/Birkenstocks.The darker blue ones hold up very well in the wash.The lighter-blue, sandblasted ones develop thin spots and wearing/frying at the seams after a few years -- probably because the fabric is fairly distressed to begin with.This adds to their character, but might not work for a "dressed-up" jeans look.Two years ago, or so, I got a couple of bad pairs that ran a little small, but this problem seems to have been corrected.

I already have a pair of these jeans, and I'm coming back for more....it is very difficult to find jeans that fit and look well! These jeans cover your problem areas while fitting very attractively, thus making you look slimmer than you are as well as beingvery comfortable! Highly recommended! I wear these more than the other jeans in my closet, and I have many!

Easy to fit in these jeans

About Earl Jean

The brainchild of former television and film stylist Suzanne Costas Friewald, Earl Jean was created in 1996 out of pure necessity. The Los Angeles based Costas Friewald, who for years had been tailoring her own vintage denim, found herself in a bind when her favorite jeans were stolen from the local Laundromat. It was at that time her then boyfriend and now husband encouraged her to design the low slung, slim fitting jeans she had always loved. The result, Earl Jean’s style #55, created an immediate sensation amongst her friends. Soon a buzz began spreading throughout the fashion industry.

The following year, Costas Friewald landed her first order, from Los Angeles’ chic Fred Segal and Earl Jean was officially born. After gaining instant cult following in fashion circles on both coasts, it was not long before news of the original, great fitting, dark denim jeans spread across the country. With their low rise, slim silhouette and unparalleled attention to detail, Earl Jean redefined denim by giving it a sexy, contemporary flair. Earl continued to introduce new styles, washes and fabrications--such as leather and corduroy--without ever losing sight of the quality and sex appeal for which they are known. The line continued to grow steadily to include woven shirts, skirts, tees, and outerwear.
