Buying this bra for the second time
I agree with the previous writer.This bra is supportive and does the job, but it is not flattering (there is a lot of fabric).I also agree that the price for a GOOD full figure bra is outrageous.My only other wish is that I could get a different color.Large busted ladies like blue, green, etc. too!

Ugly, but effective.
This bra may look nice in the smaller sizes, but a 40G is simply hideous.It looks like I am wearing a blanket on my chest because it's so big - and I mean the amount of fabric is excessive, not the size.(I expect 40Gs to be big.)However, it's super comfortable, especially after years of wearing Bioform bras with the plastic inserts (which are awesome but don't come in a 40G).It looks nice and sleek under my t-shirts, and has good support (about the same as a Bioform).

I really object to bras costing this much, but beggars can't be choosers.Price and lack of 'pretty appeal' are why I only gave this 3 stars.Functionally, it's fine:at least on the first day I've worn it, today.They say you should replace all your bras every six months.At these prices I certainly can't afford to do that, but I'll come back in six months and edit this review to tell how it held up. ... Long lasting, durable AND comfortable!
I have memorized the model number of 4693 - a bra built for human females. The wide straps are awesome... they are tapered in such a way that they don't look like industrial strength suspenders, but they stay in place and don't flip over or cut grooves into your shoulders.

These bras do not have underwires - which means they don't get mangled in the washing machine or poke through. I have been buying this model number for almost 10 years now. Each bra has lasted me for almost 5 years with weekly washings in the washing machine and clothes dryer.

During their productive life span, they do not falter in support or comfort. I've never had a problem with hooks or eyes coming off the fasteners, or loose threads coming off after a wash.

Like any elastic garment, however, it will not last forever when you wash and dry all the time. Some people hand wash their bras and line dry them - I'm sure they would last much longer if I did this - but I just don't make the time to go through that effort.

The straps have a tiny amount of tapered padding that also helps in the comfort arena. When they call this an 18-hour bra, they are not kidding. I have had a number of situations at work where I have had to stay late - sometimes stay at work for a 24-hour shift now and then. When I've had to do this in the past w/ other bras, I thought I was going to drop dead from the fatigue and neck aches - but even after 20+hours with this Playtex 4693 18hr bra, I am barely aware that it's even there - because it does it's job without needing constant fiddling and re-adjusting.

Comfort and Cleavage
Wonderbras have sure come a long way from my first wonderbra I bought ages ago. I had decided it was no longer comfortable so I tossed it out and started to buy cotton comfort!

Lately, I've noticed the Wonderbra is more comfortable. At least the new designs are much less restricting, yet they still seem to do their job. Which is to give you clevage. The underwire seems more comfortable, the 3rd degree padding gives you added size without being obvious and the push-up qualities are superior.

This bra has an adjustable three column back closure so it is never too tight. The stretchy straps are completely adjustable. The support is good and you can wear these bras under T-shirts or fancy dresses. They even look good just wearing them under a nice silk robe.

Good, but overpriced and has close competition in Platex.
(I am a 38F in the sizing of this bra) I actually think this bra is very supportive and pretty darn comfortable. To design this bra the company measured stress with electrodes and designed the bra to give maximum support to the high stress areas, specifically. I wish they had been a little more generous with an overlap of cloth on the closure as something is a bit bothersome there. The only other bra almost as comfortable andthis and almost as supportive as this has been the Playtex 18 hour bra #4379 (I am a 38DD in Playtex sizing) and I can get the playtex bra for $20 to $28. The Playtex bra has front closure and after being worn awhile tends to be a bit bothersome over the front closure. The shock absorber bra uses coolmax fabric, a definate advantage over the Playtex bra. Also it would be nice if two models of shock absorber level 4 bras were listed under slightly different names. And finally it would be really nice if both the playtex and the shock absorber bras would come in beige. The shock absorber, unlike the Playtex, is available in black. I would guess I am not the only large busted fem out there who wears sport bras most of the time and not just when I am exercising. Oh and finally, finally the Playtex gives the more flattering appearance, but who really cares when the suport is good.

Don't waste your money, big busted gals!
I am a 38 FF, and I was hoping this would help hold me in while running - NOT! This bra is no better than my 18 hour bras and is double the price! I'm still in search of the bra that will hold me in! This one is going back!

I can recommend these Impact Level 4 Berlei Sports Bras 100%. I have 6 of them and have been wearing them for a little over a year. They completely minimise bounce and are the most comfortable supportive Sports Bra on the market! I wish they would make a skin coloured one!
